Non-NHS Services

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

  • Medicals for pre-employment, driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
  • Reports and Forms
  • Private letters
  • Access to notes if excessive or not the first request

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them.

We do not undertake the following private work:

  • Diving Medicals
  • Blue Badge Forms
  • Vaccinations for employment purposes e.g. Hep B
  • Non NHS funded travel vaccinations
  • Blood Test for employment purposes to check immunity
  • Identity checks

Please Note

For non-NHS services that the practice offers to patients will not be prioritised over our day to day NHS services that we provide.  We will endeavor to deal with any request as soon as possible but please factor in at least 20 working days for the practice to formally respond.  It may require longer if the GP needs to see/talk the request through with you. When requesting non-NHS services it would be helpful for you to advise the urgency of your request, however advising this will not guarantee that it will be processed any quicker but we will do our best to do what we can. Prices will be reviewed annually.
